BASTEM


BASTEM is a project realized to raise awareness about energy production using alternative energy sources. The main body of BASTEM, which converts kinetic energy into electrical energy, consists of 6 square pieces with dimensions of 600*600*350mm. The main body is in two parts, the lower and the upper part. While the lower part is made of 1.5mm sheet metal, the upper part is made of 10 mm thick non-slip floor. The system, which contains piezos that generate energy sensitive to vibration and pressure, has been designed and developed to work both indoors and outdoors.

*In the measurements made, it was observed that 0.03W energy was produced from 1 step.

Bastem V02, whose design is ongoing, will be designed and manufactured to be resistant to outdoor and indoor conditions and not to be affected by climate changes that will occur in environmental conditions. Hard plastic based material is used as the compression surface material.

The energy produced will be stored in the battery/battery group and can be used when necessary. With the energy stored in the system, cell phones can be charged and used in lighting.
